Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia- Pro-Palestinian demonstrations on a number of major campuses in the world continue to spread, from Australia, Asia, Europe to America.
However, the impact of this demonstration involving thousands of students has resulted in the arrest of demonstrators by the police. Even in England, the British government revoked the visa of a Palestinian student after she participated in a pro-Palestinian demonstration on her campus.
University of Cambridge student, Muhamamd Nabil Satria Faradis, said that currently there has only been 1 case of visa revocation for students who took part in demonstrations in England.
Nabil said that previously the British Government itself had issued a kind of guidance for students taking part in demonstrations. Where there is a policy that states that if students or members of the public violate the rules they will be given sanctions including visa revocation.
On the other hand, this regulation is considered quite controversial because it is considered to limit freedom of opinion.
