Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia- A number of international banking networks have begun to close consumer businesses in Indonesia, from Citigroup, Standard Chartered to Commonwealth Bank.

General Chair of the Indonesian Bankers Association & Director of BCA Consumer Banking, Haryanto T. Budiman, said that the move by foreign banks to release their consumer business cannot be separated from the impact of limited branch offices, high operational costs and high competition with local banks.

Meanwhile, regarding Fintech P2P lending, Haryanto said that there is no fierce competition between banks and banking competition with Fintech Lending.
