09:13 Money Talks Video: Don't Just Make Sweet Promises for 5 Years, This is the New President's PR for MSMEs My Money – 13 hours ago

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia- Executive Director of the Segara Research Institute, Piter Abdullah, expressed the importance of efforts to encourage demand and supply of MSME credit.

The MSME sector is considered important to continue to develop because it has reached 64 million and absorbs a large workforce while reflecting Indonesia's economic growth prospects. One effort to encourage demand for MSME credit is through improving credit scoring and NPL amidst increasing cases of loan defaults and the majority are not yet connected to a bank or are unbankable.

In an effort to encourage MSME business and credit, the new government for 2024-2029 needs to consolidate the MSME program so that it is efficient and effective so that it can encourage MSME business. Meanwhile, Senior Advisor for Economics & Policy at BRI Danareksa Sekuritas, Telisa Aulia Falianty, mentioned the difficult task of the President of the Republic of Indonesia replacing Jokowi to carry out the mandate of Law 45 article 33 and make the pillars of the economy namely MSMEs and corporations.
