Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Some people believe that working all day can increase your chances of becoming rich, but not Francisco Rivera. He is a man from Florida, USA, who works only 20 minutes a day, but can earn US$ 38,500 or Rp. 617 million per month.
Francisco Rivera was originally a tutor. However, due to post-Covid changes, the tutoring business experienced changes and required Rivera to look for a new job. He rushed to look for business ideas until he decided to do print on demand goods business.
To CNBC Make It, Rivera chose an organic candle business to print based on purchases on the buying and selling site, Etsy. He admitted that while running a business, he worked less time than as a tutor. He only works 20 minutes a day. Sometimes they also work up to two hours if the business is busy.
Even though the working time is only short, CNBC Make It noted that Rivera's business can generate profits of US$462,000 per year or IDR 7 billion. If calculated per month, he can earn US$38,500 or Rp. 617 million. At this point, he felt his job as an entrepreneur was very profitable.
“I earn more than I ever earned, and do less than I ever earned,” said Rivera, quoted Friday (12/4/2024).
According to him, this nominal profit was obtained because the print-on-demand business was very profitable.
“Model advantages print-on-demand is very low risk. It costs US$0.20 to list something on Etsy. “In fact, I borrowed someone else's Canva account, the Pro version for US$120,” he said.
It's just that running this business requires capital and strong determination, as well as consistency.
“If we consistently work from 9 am to 5 pm, why isn't that consistency applied when running a business?” asked Rivera.
Apart from needing these three attitudes, Rivera also advised that to start a business you must be good at seeing opportunities. He said, we have to research what products sell well and have minimal risk of failure, so we can start our own business even without experience.
