Boemboe Mandhe CEO and BRI Micro Customer Anisa Syafitri explained that since becoming a BRI customer and receiving funding, her business has been able to move up in class. It's not just about funding, he also gets various opportunities to develop products and even have employees.
“I have been a BRI customer since 2021. Coincidentally, I built my business in 2017, at that time I was still in college, initially starting traditionally, after 2021 I decided to become a BRI customer and finally received funding for the development and expansion of the business that is currently underway. built,” he told CNBC Indonesia some time ago.
Anisa explained that funding from BRI was used to upgrade the packaging of her business products to make them more modern. So the product can be marketed more widely because it has a more attractive appearance.
Not only funding, BRI also provides guidance and facilitates the MSME players it supports in the national exhibition, namely BRI UMKM EXPO(RT) Brilianpreneur. This exhibition is a business matching event between national MSMEs and buyers from abroad.
It is known that Boemboe Mandhe succeeded in advancing to class through the support of Holding Ultra Micro (UMi), which integrates services from BRI, Pegadaian and Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM). The presence of UMi Holding provides increasingly affordable access to financing and social empowerment in remote areas.
This program is also able to connect more customers to the business solutions they need, as well as expand the lending sector through the bank's hybrid strategy, which combines physical presence and digital capabilities.
Even though it has only been established for two years, this program has achieved quite fantastic achievements. Since it was formed in September 2021, UMi Holding has targeted serving 45 million unbankable people by 2024. As of September 2023, the number of UMi Holding debtors reached 36.6 million or grew 22% from September 2021.
To further strengthen the role of MSMEs and ultra-micro for the country's economy and community empowerment, BRI will review this through 'BRI Microfinance Outlook 2024'. This annual event will take place on Thursday, March 7 2024, with the theme 'Strengthening Financial Inclusion Strategy: Microfinance Role in Increasing Sustainable and Inclusive Economic Growth'.
This year, the BRI Microfinance Outlook will discuss strategies to support inclusive and sustainable economic growth, by optimizing the role of MSMEs as drivers of economic growth. Through the development of MSMEs and ultra-micro, income inequality can be reduced and equal economic growth can be encouraged.
BRI Microfinance Outlook 2024 is packaged with a seminar activity concept consisting of two discussion sessions and presenting speakers from expert, professional and government circles.
Several important figures who will attend include Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs Teten Masduki, Deputy for Economics at Bappenas Amalia Adininggar Widyastuti, Main Director of BRI Sunarso, and Director of Micro Business of BRI Supari.
