Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Defender Raphael Varane has confirmed he will leave Manchester United this summer. Varane's three-year contract with MU has ended. This is the report on the official Manchester United website, Tuesday (14/5/2024).

As is known, Varane arrived at Manchester United from Real Madrid in August 2021. In total Varane has appeared in 93 matches with the Red Devils.

The French player was also part of MU's success in winning the 2023 Carabao Cup. That was our first trophy in six years.

While defending MU, Varane scored two goals. First, when the Red Devils beat Brentford at Old Trafford Stadium. Second, when MU beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-0 at the opener of this season.

Specifically for the Premier League, he has appeared 67 times, with 58 of them as a starter. However, Varane has not played since early April due to the injury he suffered.

He still hopes to play for MU before this season ends. The Red Devils still have three matches recorded, namely Newcastle United (Premier League), Brighton & Hove Albion (Premier League) and Manchester City (FA Cup final) on May 25.

“Everyone at United thanks Raphael for his service and wishes him the best for his future,” wrote MU's official website.
