Singer Kris Dayanti opens her voice after failing to become a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Singer Kris Dayanti failed to be re-elected as a member of the DPR RI. This is because the vote acquisition in the 2024 election meant that Kris Dayanti could not compete with his colleague, the PDI Perjuangan legislative candidate for the East Java V electoral district.

Meanwhile, the PDIP in the Malang Raya electoral district only got two seats for the next DPR. The two seats were won by Ahmad Basarah and Andreas Eddy Susetyo who received 89,769 and 81,017 votes respectively.

“There are only two PDIP seats, which is a shame. So, I haven't managed to qualify again,” said Kris Dayanti as reported by detikcom, Tuesday (12/3/2024).

“The results of the plenary session for 41 Malang Raya sub-districts. In the meantime, those are recorded,” he said.

Based on this data, Kris Dayanti received 70,082 votes. This figure is lower than his achievement in the 2019 election, namely 131,131 valid votes in the electoral district and through the same party.

This figure made him successful in qualifying to become a member of the DPR. Now, Kris Dayanti is just waiting to complete his term as member of the DPR for the 2019-2024 period.

“I have the task of completing the end of my position. God willing, I will still be on the political path, still in society and in the PDI Perjuangan,” he said.
